Eastern North Carolina Regional Grouping

In July 2007, The American Red Cross designated the Frederick E. Turnage a Regional Chapter. As a Regional Chapter, the Frederick E. Turnage Chapter is responsible for overseeing the operations, service delivery and financial well being of Chapters in Elizabeth City, Greenville, Washingtion and Williamston in North Carolina. These Chapters provide service in the following counties: Beaufort, Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Edgecombe, Gates, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Martin, Nash, Northampton, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrell and Washington. In February 2008, and addtional 4 Chapters in Goldsboro, Jacksonville, Kinston, New Bern were added to the Turnage Chapter Regional Grouping. These Chapters provide service in Carteret, Craven, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pamlico, Wayne and Wilson counties. In total, the Region encompases 9 Red Cross Chapters, 28 counties, 1.2 million people and 90% of the North Carolina Coastline.During Fiscal Year 2010, the Chapter's in our Region responded to 489 disaster's assisting 438 families; trained over 20,992 individuals in First Aid and CPR; delivered 6,131 emergency messages for members of our Armed Forces and their Families.

Welcome to the American Red Cross Frederick E. Turnage Chapter!
The American Red Cross Frederick E. Turnage Chapter main office is located in downtown Rocky Mount, North Carolina and provides services for Nash, Wilson, Edgecombe, Halifax, and Northampton Counties (total population ≈ 350,000). A satellite office is located in Wilson, NC. We are also the Regional Chapter for northeast North Carolina, overseeing operations of 23 additional counties. Our mission is to provide relief to victims of disasters and to help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
